That's what everyone wants, right? We all long for an opportunity to make good money while maintaining personal autonomy. We want to run the show and to cash the big checks.

That might be what we'd all like to experience, but most of us don't. People struggle every day to make ends meet. The daily grind goes on for years until its time to retire with a gold-plated watch and a long list of regrets. We get stuck. We don't take advantage of opportunities. We waste our skills and spend years doing things we don't enjoy.

There are a few reasons.

First, many of us wrongly believe that there's no credible alternative. They think the traditional workforce is the only way to "make it".

Second, some folks are afraid of branching out on their own because of the oft-reported high risk of failure for new businesses. They don't feel safe as entrepreneurs.

Third, some of us never get around to making a move for a better life. We plan on making changes, but time passes us by as we stay in our regular ruts.

I want to tell you about a way to GET OUT NOW. I know how you can open your own business within a few days and put yourself on the track to some serious earnings with very little risk and next to no cash outlay. Enjoy Your Holiday Time with Audiobooks

Why not use some of your holiday vacation time wisely and enjoy it with audio books?

Since I have become passionate about the enjoyment of audio books I look forward to relaxation and easy listening.

I was an avid book reader prior to being introduced to enjoying audio books. As I am not a fast reader I am particularly enjoying being able to read my books in a shorter timeframe.

Reading and enjoying audio books is not too different to listening to music. I enjoy the animated voices telling the story. I feel that I am there not just reading about it.

Audio Books are very addictive, especially during holiday time when I have time to chill out, relax, enjoy a wine and the excitement of someone reading to me.

Besides the above I have found there are many benefits to enjoying audio books.

Physical books are usually more expensive than audio books.

When purchasing a downloadable audio book it is available immediately.

I can enjoy my downloadable audio book on my mp3 player or iPod. I sometimes write them to a CD. It is a matter of personal choice.

I am able to have great fun with my grandchildren. Just watching them as they listen to audio books gives me great pleasure. They really get involved in the story and so do I. The books almost come to life as they are read.

I always carry some audio books on CD in my car for when I am travelling either alone or have my grandchildren with me.

Because I can listen to an audio book anywhere at anytime I am able to read more books. This I really enjoy as I lead a very busy lifestyle.

The Christmas Stories by: Charles Dickens

Robert Whitfields narration allows listeners to recognize how much Dickens wrote for the ear. Whitfield reads these stories like he is telling them beside a winter fire.AudioFile

No writer is more identified with the modern idea of Christmas than Charles Dickens. In some ways, Dickens helped define the holiday that we now celebrate by immortalizing it as a time of warmth and sharing with an emphasis on family and friends. Dickens wrote all the stories presented here during the 1850s as contributions to the special Christmas issues of Household Words, the weekly magazine he founded and edited. Included are fictional sketches verging on the autobiographical, recollections of childhood, reflections on past holidays and old friends, as well as tales of misunderstandings and lost opportunities. They reaffirm the virtue of nurturing our traditions and offer a master storytellers vision of the real meaning of Christmas.

Charles Dickens (1812 –1870) was born in Landport, Portsea, England, the second of eight children in a family continually plagued by debt. A legacy brought release from the nightmare of debtors' prison and child labor and afforded him two years of formal schooling. He worked as an attorney's clerk and newspaper reporter until his early writings brought him the amazing success that was to be his for the remainder of his life.

Earphones Awards recipient Robert Whitfield was born in England and worked for the BBC for ten years as a radio news announcer and also worked as a narrator for the Royal National Institute for the Blind in London. In addition to narrating for Blackstone Audiobooks, he involves himself in numerous stage-acting projects in the United States and Europe.
